Marianas Trench go to ‘War’ in new music video

Marianas Trench’s music videos can go one of two ways; they can either be goofy and make you crack up or they can hit you “in the feels” giving you the reason to binge eat a pint of ice cream on your own. It’s never until you press the play button do you know which way the music video for any given song can go. On Friday (May 20), the Canadian group unveiled the music video for their latest single, “This Means War.”

The clip begins in what at first appears to be a page of a comic book, but soon become reality with the band, and some of their “friends” hanging out on a street corner doing what they do. That when things take a West Side Story turn, but instead of it being the Jets and the Sharks going to “war,” it’s a battle of the sexes. Watch the complete video for “This Means War” below.

“This Means War” is featured on Marianas Trench’s recently released record, Astoria. Earlier this week, the Canadian band announced plans to return to the United States for a brand new tour. The summer trek has been named the “SPF 80s” summer tour and will kick off on July 8 at the Diamond Ballroom in Oklahoma City and come to a close a little over a month later on Aug. 4 at the House of Blues in San Diego. The complete list of tour dates can be found here.

The Marianas Trench SPF 80s tour is coming to a city near you this summer and David Hasselhoff says, ‘You definitely don’t want to miss it!'” the group wrote on their social media accounts.

Marianas Trench Extend the “Hey You Guys!” Tour

Fans of Canadian outfit, Marianas Trench asked for more tour dates, and now the band is giving them just what they asked for. On Monday (Oct. 26), the band revealed more tour dates for their upcoming “Hey You Guys!” tour. The tour, which was originally announced back in September, has been extended into early 2016.

Originally, only a handful of tour dates, all taking place in November 2015, was revealed last month. After much teasing by band members whenever fans would ask whether “X-city” would be added to the tour schedule, the group has now confirmed those secretly hidden dates.

The newly added stops for the “Hey You Guys!” tour will begin on Jan. 13, 2016 in Sacramento, CA and wrap up a month later on Feb. 14, 2016 in Grand Rapids, MI. The first leg of the North American “Hey You Guys!” tour will begin on Nov. 3, 2015 at the Wonder Ballroom in Portland, OR and wrap up on Nov. 28, 2015 at The Rapids Theatre in Niagara Fall, NY.

Both the 2015 and 2016 “Hey You Guys!” tour dates can be seen below.
