Asking Alexandria drop ‘Alone in a Room’ video

Asking Alexandria have returned with the music video for another new track off their recently released fifth studio album. On Friday (May 25), the English band released the music video for “Alone in a Room.” Watch the Steven Contreras-directed video above.

“‘Alone in a Room’ is one of my favorite songs I have ever written,” guitarist Ben Bruce said about the new tune. “We are so excited to finally be able to share with you, the long-awaited prequel to ‘Into the Fire‘! The story continues, ladies and gentlemen, thank you all so much for helping our new album continue to grow into what we feel is our most exciting and daring record to date!”

“Alone in a Room” join lead single “Into the Fire” on Asking Alexandria’s self-titled album. Asking Alexandria was released in mid-December via Sumerian Records and peaked at the number 27 spot on the Billboard 200 chart.

Following months of being on the road, Asking Alexandria is taking a much deserved break before returning to the touring circuit in early June. Throughout June, they will perform at several music festival around Europe including Rock im Park in Germany, Download Festival in the United Kingdom, and Hellfest in France. In mid-July, the will return to the United States for a handful of shows on the final Vans Warped tour. All their tour upcoming tour dates can be found here.

After telling fans that they should expect a new song by the end of the week, Asking Alexandria has finally revealed the new tune. On Wednesday (Oct. 26), the United Kingdom-founded band released the second single from their upcoming, fifth studio album. The new song is titled “Where Did it Go?” and can be streamed above.

“Where Did it Go?” will join the group’s previously released song “Into the Fire” on their upcoming self-titled record. Asking Alexandria will mark the return of lead vocalist Danny Worsnop after departing the band at the beginning of 2015; Worsnop’s last album with Asking Alexandria was 2013’s From Death to Destiny.

Asking Alexandria is set to be released on Dec. 15 through Sumerian Records. Pre-orders for the upcoming album can be found on the band’s website here. Those who pre-order the album will get instant downloads of both “Into the Fire” and “Where Did it Go?”

Asking Alexandria will be the follow-up to the group’s 2016 release, The Black.

In support of the new album, Asking Alexandria announced last month a massive co-headlining North American tour with Black Veil Brides. The “Resurrection Tour” will kick off on Jan. 10, 2018 at the Complex in Salt Lake City, Utah and wrap up about two months on March 2, 2018 at the House of Blues in Las Vegas. The complete list of tour dates can be seen here.

Black Veil Brides, Asking Alexandria announce ‘The Resurrection Tour’

Black Veil Brides and Asking Alexandria will be teaming up this winter for a massive North American tour. On Tuesday (Sept. 26), the Los Angeles-based band and the United Kingdom-founded act announced joint plans to hit the road in early 2018 for a co-headlining tour. The upcoming excursion has been named “The Resurrection Tour” and will kick off on Jan. 10, 2018 at the Complex in Salt Lake City, Utah. After traveling across the United States and Canada for almost two months, the trek will conclude on March 2, 2018 at the House of Blues in Las Vegas.

Joining Black Veil Brides and Asking Alexandria for the complete trek will be Crown the Empire. Tickets for the upcoming tour will go on sale beginning this Friday, Sept. 29, here.

News of the upcoming tour should not come as much of a surprise to fans of both acts; both Black Veil Brides and Asking Alexandria have new music coming out in the near future. While being interviewed by Rock Sound, Black Veil Brides frontman Andy Biersack unveiled that their new album will see a release time frame of early 2018, though he did not confirm when in early 2018 the new album should be expected.

“The Black Veil Brides record will come out at the top end of 2018,” Biersack explained in the podcast. “The reason for the delay was that—first of all—we took 15 months to make the record, we really wanted everything to be as perfect as possible.” Back in late 2016, the band a new track titled “The Outsiders.” At the time, fans were to believe that the new song would be the first single off the much anticipated new album, but it is currently unknown if it will be featured on the impending record.

As for Asking Alexandria, the group recently released the music video for “Into the Fire“; their yet-to-be-titled fifth studio album’s lead single. According to the band, their new album will be released on Dec. 15 with pre-orders and additional details to be revealed within the upcoming weeks. The new album is the follow-up to 2016’s The Black and will mark the return of vocalist Worsnop who exited the band in early 2015.

Listen: Asking Alexandria go ‘Into the Fire’ with new song

After some lineup changes over the last couple of years, it looks like Asking Alexandria is ready to go back to their original lineup and release some new music. On Friday (Sept. 22), the United Kingdom-founded band unveiled their brand new song “Into the Fire” which is not only the first single from their upcoming album, but also marks the return of longtime vocalist Danny Worsnop.

The four-minute clip for the new tune looks like a nod to Frank Miller’s graphic novel “Sin City” with its black-and-white shots, graphic novel-ish, settings, and the use of red for important things. Check out the music video for “Into the Fire” above.

“Into the Fire” is the first single off Asking Alexandria’s yet-to-be-titled fifth studio album. According to the band, the new record is set to be released on Dec. 15 with pre-orders and additional details to be announced soon. The new album is the follow-up to 2016’s The Black. The record will also mark Worsnop’s official return to the lineup after exiting the band in early 2015.

At the beginning of 2015, Worsnop broke the hearts of fans when he announced he was leaving the band to focus on his new band, We Are Harlot. Shortly after his departure, the remaining members of Asking Alexandria enlisted Make Me Famous’ Denis Stoff to take over vocal duties. Sadly, the relationship between Stoff and remaining members of Asking Alexandria hit the skids when the singer reportedly stopped speaking to the band and would not respond to founding member Ben Bruce’s modes of communication.

After officially announcing Stoff’s “exit” from the band, the group welcomed back Worsnop in the fall of 2016.

We Are Harlot responds to Asking Alexandria’s news

image

Well, looks like the Asking Alexandria/Danny Worsnop return story continues. A couple of days after the band revealed that the former frontman had returned to the group, Worsnop’s other band, We Are Harlot has responded to the news. On Monday (Oct. 24), the group took to Facebook to address Worsnop’s return to his former band.

Like the AA Family, the guys from We Are Harlot found out about Asking Alexandria’s newest addition the same way everyone else did; though the Internet. “So, just like everybody else, we were pretty much blindsided by all this in the same way. We saw and heard bits of things but found out in about the same way you all did,” the band wrote in a lengthy Facebook post.

The band addresses the fact that things do tend to change quickly in the music world and that an artist, and everyone behind the scenes, needs to make split-second decisions in order to survive in that industry. “Everybody in the music industry – bands, labels, managers, agents, lawyers, you name it – are doing what they can to survive. Everything that is happening now is fully understandable, from behind the curtains.” While it looks like Worsnop left his band in favor or Asking Alexandria, don’t expect We Are Harlot to play the victim card in this story. “We in [We Are] Harlot will in no way act as though we are the victims,” they continue in the post.

Currently, it looks like their future might be a little murky, but the group assures fans that they have stuff in the works and to expect a new album in the new year. “But rest assured, Harlot will not be sidelined in ANY way and know full well that you will have a new Harlot album in your hands by Feb. One way or another.”

In his own statement, Worsnop did assure We Are Harlot fans that he would be involved in the band’s new record. We Are Harlot’s lengthy post can be read here.

Watch Asking Alexandria’s first show with Danny Worsnop

aa2014

It’s only been a few days since Asking Alexandria announced the departure of former vocalist Denis Stoff and the return of original vocalist Danny Worsnop. Now, it looks like fans from around the world have been given a chance to see the group’s first show after welcoming Worsnop back to the lineup. On Tuesday (Oct. 25), the British band kicked off Sumerian Records’ “10 Years of the Black” tour at the Showbox SoDo in Seattle.

It being Worsnop’s first show with the band in almost two years, it was only logical that audience members at the event would record videos of the show. Thanks to those fans, videos of the group performing can be found on YouTube. Some of those clips include live versions of “Welcome” from 2011’s Reckless & Relentless and “Moving On” from 2013’s From Death to Destiny.

Last week, Asking Alexandria guitarist Ben Bruce posted a Facebook live video in which he addressed that Stoff had departed the band. In the same video, he revealed that he had been talking with Worsnop for a bit, which resulted in him asking the former singer if he would be interested in returning to the group. As evident by the video, Worsnop agreed to fill in the vacant spot during the band’s fall tour. If that wasn’t enough, it was reported that the group has already recorded a brand new song with the former/not-former frontman.

Asking Alexandria just kicked off their “10 Years in the Black” tour with Born of Osiris, I See Stars, After the Burial, Upon A Burning Body, and Bad Omens. Tonight (Oct. 26), the tour takes a one-night break before hitting The Knitting Factory on Spokane, WA tomorrow (Oct. 27) evening. The complete list of tour dates can be found here.

Former Asking Alexandria frontman officially returns to band

aa2014

In a shocking update, Asking Alexandria has announced that former frontman Danny Worsnop has returned to the band, replacing Denis Stoff. On Friday (Oct. 21), founding member/guitarist Ben Bruce made the revelation in an eight-and-a-half minute clip. About a minute into the Facebook live video, Bruce confirms that the band, and Stoff, had departed ways; barely two years after the Make Me Famous singer joined the group. Bruce explains that the band did not kick Stoff out, but rather, the former singer just stopped speaking to them all together.

“Basically, to a cut a long story short, we didn’t kick Denis out of the band. He just stopped talking to us,” Bruce explains in the clip. “Everything seemed fine and then he just stopped responding. I texted him a bunch, loads of emails back and forth, no response whatsoever.”

As the video continues, we hear Bruce’s side of the story as well as if he regretted adding Stoff to the lineup for the year and a half that he was with them. “Do I regret the last year and a half I spent touring the world with Denis? Absolutely not. Do I regret releasing and writing The Black? Absolutely not. Do I go back on anything I said? Absolutely not. The Black was a very honest and open record and that is I felt at the time, how we all felt at the time. We’ve moved on, we’ve moved upwards. I’m not gonna sit here and talk shit on Denis, he came into this band and he was amazing for us at the time. We had a blast with him, we had the best time ever.”

But one good thing came out of Stoff’s not-so-sublte departure; original singer Worsnop and the rest of the guys of Asking Alexandria have buried the hatchet. Last month, Worsnop had teased posted on social media that he was on his way to visit Bruce and From First To Last’s Matt Good to “maybe play a little music.”

“Obviously over the last sort of few months we’ve rekindled our relationship with Danny and what happened in the past sucked and it hurt us, obviously I said things and Danny has said things—that happens,” says Bruce in the video. “It was in the past and it was shit. But at the end of the day, we’ve been best friends for a decade and that’s why this is the move that’s right for us. Right for us as a band. Right for us as people and friends and right for us as Asking Alexandria. This is full circle. This is right back where we started and why we started the band.”

Worsnop left the band in early 2015 when he decided “to pursue other musical interests” in the form of his band We Are Harlot. Shortly after Worsnop’s departure, the remaining members enlisted Stoff to take over vocals for not only their live shows, but also for their recently released record, The Black.

Bruce’s Facebook live stream can currently be viewed here, while the complete transcript of the video, courtesy of The PRP, can be found here. Asking Alexandria is set to hit the road for Sumerian Records’ “10 Years of the Black” tour. Asking Alexandria channel ‘The Black’ cover art for new video

image

It’s been two months since Asking Alexandria released their fourth studio album, The Black, and now the group has released the music video for their latest single. On Wednesday (May 25), the United Kingdom-founded band released the video for “Here I Am,” one of the handful of tracks they streamed before the official release of The Black. The video begins with a shot of the sun streaming through some trees in black-and-white and a quote from founding member, Ben Bruce.

The images change to someone walking towards some woods and cuts to the back of a little girl’s head. From there, the actual clip kicks off to the band performing in an open field, with some random woods in the far back. During the video, footage of the little girl exploring the wood are intercut with the band performing in the field. While exploring the woods, the girl runs into this creature which happens to be the creature on the cover of The Black.

During the video, the members of Asking Alexandria are seen holding torches as they walk a dark, dirt path. Behind them, there is a group of people who look like they are part of a search party. Are they looking for the little girl who may be lost in the woods? Watch the complete video for “Here I Am” below.

The Black was released back in March through Sumerian Records. In support of the album, Asking Alexandria have been busy on the road. At the moment, they are wrapping up the last couple of days of their current tour. Tonight (May 25), they will perform at the War Memorial Auditorium in Nashville while on Friday, May 27, they will perform at Rocklahoma in Pryor Creek, OK and on Sunday, May 29, they will hit the stage at River City Rockfest.
