Lady Gaga Releases “G.U.Y.”

lady-gaga-applause

With a headline making performance at the South by Southwest, Lady Gaga used the headline making publicity stunt to promote new music video for the track, “G.U.Y.”

Before announcing when the full video would premiere, the pop star had unveiled a short teaser of it to hold her Little Monsters over before revealing that the full video would debut during NBC’s Dateline.

The video which comes in at almost twelve minutes, is another “performance piece” from the ARTPOP star. The video features Bravo’s Andy Cohen as well as some scenes featuring the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” stars Kim Richards, Lisa Vanderpump and Kyle Richards.

In total, the music video incorporates four tracks from ARTPOP including “ARTPOP,” “Venus,” “manicure” and of course “G.U.Y.”

Lady Gaga Shoots Down Rumors

lady-gaga-artpop-leak

A lot of rumors have been surfacing that things are not roses over at Lady Gaga’s camp.

First there’s the rumor that her record label, Interscope Records lost millions with her new albums. Now there’s talk about the reasons as to why her new music video for her current single, “Do What U Want” is taking longer than expected to be made.

Taking to a fan chat last night, Mother Monster hit those rumors head on and in a way threw shade at some of the people responsible for some of the grievances with the new album and other things. One of her punching bag, though they were not names specifically was her former management.

Though ARTPOP was successful, selling about 258,000 copies in its first week, it did not do the stellar sale that Born This Way did back when it was released; BTW sold about 1.1 million in the same time frame. Back when the album was released an article was published, claiming that Interscope lost a reported $25 million on the campaign for the album resulting in employee lay-offs.

But that’s not the only issue that has raised some eyes brows. Back in November, it was revealed that the video for “Do What U Want” would be released in a month’s time from that confirmation. Here we are in 2014, and still no video has been released. During the fan chat, Gaga released the following statement about why the video is taking so long.

“[The “Do What U Want” video] is late because, just like with the “Applause” video unfortunately, I was given a week to plan and execute it… All my most successful videos were planned over a period of time when I was rested and my creativity was honored.

Those who have betrayed me gravely mismanaged my time and health and left me on my own to damage control any problems that ensued as a result. Millions of dollars are not enough for some people. They want billions. Then they need trillions. I was not enough for some people. They wanted more…

The next few months of ARTPOP will truly be its beginning. Because those who did not care about ARTPOP‘s success are now gone, and the dreams I have been planning can now come to fruition.

Please forgive me that I did not foresee this coming, I never thought after all the years of hard work that those I called friends and partners would ever care so little at a time I needed them the most…”

She ended her message by asking her fans to forgive her and “be for you the Goddess that I know I truly am.” And as for the rumor about the Interscope slump and investment, she tied that up nicely by saying. “there is no truth to many of your comments, including the 25 million dollar deficit. These are rumors that are being repeated and spread.”

Lady Gaga’s attempt to keep her new album, ARTPOP under lock and key until its release date might have just gone to the dogs because it has been reported that the pop stars highly anticipated new album, has just leaked.

Over the last several months, Gaga has been unveiling tracks from the new album. “Applause” was the first official single off of the new record followed by her treating fans to several other new tracks when she performed at the iTunes Festival in England back in early September.

Over the course of the last month, she unveiled other tracks including her new single “Do What U Want” which features R. Kelly. This past week, another song titled, “Dope” made it onto the internet.

The new album and its application that Gaga revealed would connect all the Little Monster around the world, are not due to be released until November 11.

Gaga, who is not one to take hackers and leakers lightly, has not yet commented on what has happened, but sadly, the album leak has been taken down from the website that had it.

“Do What U Want” with Lady Gaga

gaga

Lady Gaga gave fans a quick snippet of her new song, “Do What U Want” last week, but today, the pop star has revealed the full song to the public.

Yesterday, Gaga took to her Twitter to first address all the haters with all the “disses” she had received in the past. Some would call it a Twitter rant, others like us call it very good publicity stunt.

The issues that she tackled included being called a cheap imitation of Madonna, how Katy Perry’s new single, “Roar” outshone her own “Applause” when they were released on the same week as well as those rumors that she was in fact a hermaphrodite and that she was fat and others that you might want to check out on your own if you haven’t already.

Well, haters aside, she used all of the publicity to announce that the new song would be released at 12:01 a.m. in full. The song, which we had learned, features R. Kelly who was also supposed to be releasing a new album, but sadly was pushed back from its original release date.

Anyways, check out the new song which was featured on the new Beats by Dr. Dre commercial in full below.

Oh and to answer your questions ahead of time, that is in fact a picture of Gaga’s derrière.

Lady Gaga Drops Snippet of New Song

Eminem isn’t the only one heading over to Dre to premiere a new song via one of his commercials for his popular headphones, Beats by Dre.

Following in the rapper’s footsteps, Lady Gaga premiered another one of her new song, “Do What U Want”, through the new commercial for the headphones and Best Buy. Last night, Mother Monster let her dear Little Monsters know that her new track which features R. Kelly, would be making its debut through the teaser and as you can guess, they all were beyond the moon. Sure enough, the video premiered and all those followers went to listen to snippet of the new song.

Last week, Gaga had revealed that she would be premiering a new song titled “Venus” when she asked her social media followers to guess which of her new track it would be. Finally, after much guessing, it was revealed that the song would officially debut on October 27.

Check out the 30 second clip below which features the newest addition to the Beats family.

“Do What U Want” is Gaga’s second song off ARTPOP to be featured in a nationwide commercial; her first single, “Applause” is currently featured on the new KIA Soul commercials. ARTPOP will be released on November 11 and we’re pretty sure her Little Monsters are counting down the days.

With ARTPOP right around the corner, Lady Gaga revealed at midnight the full track list for her highly anticipated new album.

Earlier this week, the pop star had released the official cover art of he album which had what looks like statue version of her, sitting with her legs opened and a blue metallic ball covering her. In the background was a collage of several different painting playing up her “art” theme with this album.

Before she revealed the album art, she released another new track this past Friday titled “Aura.” She also explained that the song would be featured in the film, Machete Kills, where she will be making her acting debut.

The song did end up getting the lyric video treatment which included scenes from the film and of course, the lyrics.

The complete track listing for the upcoming album as well as the official lyric video can be seen below. ARTPOP is due to be released on November 11.

New Lady Gaga Debuts in Movie Trailer

Lady-Gaga-Machete-Kills-poster-header1-615x360

In what might be a surprising move for Lady Gaga, the pop start has been a little on the quiet side since the MTV Video Music Awards last month, well as quiet as you can be when you are being stalked by one of the country’s gossip queens.

Today, it was revealed that a new song from Gaga’s anticipated new album, ARTPOP will be making its appearance in Robert Rodriguez’s Machete Kills. The song which is titled Aura, will fittingly make its debut int he same film where the Mother Monster will be making her acting debut. Gaga will be playing a character named, La Chameleón in the action sequel to 2010’s Machete.

As for Gaga, she revealed that she will be debuting the full album at Berlin club Berghain later this month. The premiere is an invite-only occasion in the Halle am Berghain, a room inside the former power plant. The event will take place on October 24, a few weeks before the official release date of the album and will not clash with all the previously scheduled events at the location.

But for those attending, some of those songs might not be all that new to them since the pop star has unveiled seven new songs back at the beginning of September, when she performed at the iTunes Festival.

For now, check out the snippet of the new song in the trailer for Machete Kills which hits theaters on October 11. Machete Kills stars  Danny Trejo as titular character while co-stars include Michelle Rodriguez,  Jessica Alba, Mel Gibson, Sofia Vegara,  Antonio Banderas, Vanessa Hudgens, and Charlie Sheen by his real name, Carlos Estevez.

Lady Gaga Teases Two New Songs

Lady Gaga

Yesterday, Lady Gaga gave her Little Monsters a little bit of a treat in the form of two teasers for two new tracks. Earlier in the day, she first released a short teaser from her rehearsals for the iTunes Festival on September 1 featuring new song, “Swine.” After leaving Little Monsters asking for more, she went ahead and released another rehearsal teaser which feature “Manicure,” another new song from her anticipated, ARTPOP.

Check out both teasers below and don’t forget, as if you could that ARTPOP will be released on November 11.

Gaga Gives Us ‘Applause’

gaga

Just when you think Lady Gaga couldn’t get anymore crazy, she goes ahead and give us the music video for her new single, “Applause.”

“Applause” which was supposed to be released today, was pushed forward a week when Lady Gaga went into a head to head battle with hackers who were having a jolly ol’ time leaking her new material; the leakage also included that pretty decent Cher/Gaga duet.

Today, she gave us the video for it which features black and white footage, a wings made out of material for the singer, a hand-bra, some magic and a Franken-gaga. The video premiered this morning on Good Morning America, much to the delight of her Little Monsters.

While the song might not be one of her strongest, lyric-wise, the music video does leave you with that “scratch your head with confusion” sensation.
