It’s been a couple of years since No Doubt have been on the stage together, but the band hit the stage last night at the Global Citizen Festival in New York City.

For their encore, the band were joined on stage by Sting to perform his song, “Message in a Bottle.”

The special performance wasn’t so much of a surprise considering that earlier in the week, it was revealed Sting would be hitting the stage with the California band, but that was all that was announced.

Check out the video of the performance.

No Doubt and Sting were just some of the acts that performed at the third annual Global Citizen Festival. Also taking the stage were power-couple Jay-Z and Beyoncé who teamed up for Jay-Z’s “Holy Grail,”  like they did during the “On the Run” Tour with Beyoncé filling in on Justin Timberlake’s parts, and “Forever Young.”

The Roots, fun., Alicia Keys, and Tiesto also performed at the festival is sponsored by the Global Citizen movement, an initiative of the Global Poverty Project, which works to end extreme poverty by 2030.

The goal of the festival is to raise awareness and promote activism to end poverty. This year, Global Citizen is striving for commitments in vaccines, education and sanitation.

Listen to the First Two Tracks from the “Spider-Man 2” Soundtrack

In the last two days, we have gotten two tracks from the upcoming The Amazing Spider-Man 2 soundtracks. Yesterday morning, one of the tracks from the album, “It’s On Again” was released. The song which featured Alicia Keys, Pharrell, Kendrick Lamar and Hans Zimmer.

Yep. You read that right. The song features Lamar rapping and Keys singing over her piano playing and then it goes to Zimmer and his famous orchestra while at the same time you can hear the disco/hip-hop influence in the song.

Today, another song from the motion picture that is slated to hit theaters next month was released. “Here” once again features the work of Pharrell who instead of producing the track takes a front seat and sings and Zimmer. Instead of sticking to the hyper-disco dance sound that the first track had, “Here” is more of a ballad and featured former Smith’s guitarist Johnny Marr.

Listen to the track here.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Soundtrack will be released on April 22 through Columbia Records and will feature several other artists than just Pharrell; the Neighbourhood, LIZ, and Phosphorescent will also be contributing to the soundtrack. As for the film, it is scheduled to be released on May 2.
