Adele brings the heartache with ‘Easy on Me’

Hello Adele, and thank you for making our weekend a little sadder (in a good way).

On Friday (Oct. 15), the British songstress finally (FINALLY) released her first new song in five years.

Titled “Easy on Me,” the song is precisely what we’ve grown to expect from the singer. The track, which was teased earlier this week, gives fans a brutally honest look at her relationship and divorce from ex-husband Simon Konecki.

Instead of giving you all a breakdown, we’re going to let you listen to the track and make up your own theories.

Check out “Easy on Me” above.

“Easy on Me” is the first single from Adele’s highly anticipated fourth album, 30. The record is due out Nov. 19. Pre-orders for the record are currently available here.

There will be several special editions of the record. The Target deluxe CD will feature three bonus tracks. Walmart will offer a clear exclusive double vinyl, and Amazon will provide a white exclusive double vinyl.

30 is the long (and we mean long) awaited follow-up to 2015’s 25.

Watch: Walk the Moon cover Adele’s ‘Someone Like You’

Walk the Moon have been known to treat fans to a cover or two in the past; just look at their “What If Covers” series from late last year. Now, the band has added another cover to their quickly growing list. On Monday (March 4), the Ohio-founded act’s cover of Adele’s smash single “Someone Like You” was released.

Filmed during their recent appearance on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, the four-and-a-half-minute video finds the four-piece giving the somber track a little bit of an upbeat update. The video was shot while the group was hanging out backstage in the Tonight Show music room.

As previously mentioned, Walk the Moon’s cover of the Adele classic comes months after the band began their own covers series on social media. To date, the quartet has given their own spin to songs such as “Time to Pretend” by MGMT, “Time After Time” by Cyndi Lauper, and “Tubthumpin” by Chumbawumba. All their covers can be found on their Instagram account.

Recently, the band released their ultra-catchy, standalone single “Timebomb.” “Timebomb” comes more than a year after the release of their fourth studio album, What If Nothing.

The album produced a total of five singles including “One Foot,” “Headphones,” “Surrender,” “Kamikaze,” and “Tiger Teeth” which was given the music video treatment back in October.

Walk the Moon are currently on the road, opening for Muse on their Simulation Theory North American tour. The tour began last month and will find the groups performing across the continent throughout March and April. The full list of current tour dates can be found here.

Tickets for Adele’s upcoming tour are scheduled to go on sale this upcoming Thursday, Dec. 17, at 10 am, local time. This North American tour is the singer’s first in five years. In 2011, she set out on her previous North American tour, only for dates to be cancelled and/or postponed as she battled a vocal cord-related illness. The illness eventually required surgery which confirmed that all tour dates were cancelled.

Recently, Adele played her first full concert in over four years at New York City’s Radio City Music Hall. The show was recorded live and will air tonight at 10 pm on NBC.

Adele to Release New Album Later This Year

image

It feels like it has been years since we last heard any new music from Adele, though we are internally glad they stopped playing “Someone Like You” on a never-ending loop on the radio.

In the meantime, the songstress gave birth to a baby boy and even hinted that she was working on some new music on a Twitter post a while back.

Now, we have gotten official confirmation that she will be releasing a new album titled, 25, keeping up with her age-titled records; her first two records were titled 19 and 21.

The World Music Awards announced the new of the new record’s titled and went on Twitter to confirm that Adele will embark on a tour in 2015. This news comes on the heels of another report in which the Daily Star said that she might just pull a Beyoncé and drop the record without any warning through iTunes.

Adele has enough fans and casual listeners alike, so it would not be that much of a stretch for her to just do that and cal it a day. When your album manages to hold the longest-running No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart, you really don’t need all that useless promotions, especially when there’s a Phil Collins collaboration somewhere there.

J.Lo Saves Adele from Crazy Fan

JLo and the Crasher

This might be the reason why Adele referred to Jennifer Lopez as her good luck charm. While J.Lo and co-presenter, Pitbull presented Adele with her award for “Best Solo Pop Performance,” a crazy fan by the name of Vitalii Seduik, somehow managed to sneak through all the security to the stage and crash her winning moment. In the video, he can clearly be heard saying, “It’s such an honor to receive this award” and “I love you Adele!”.

You can check out J.Lo giving Seduik the boot with a slight motion of her thumb and then look towards the back of the stage making sure that he made his grand exit out.

For those of you who might not be familiar with Seduki, he was the Ukrainian reporter that tried to make out with Will Smith during his Men in Black III promotions tour. He was also the one who sent Madonna hydrangeas which, by the way the entertainer despises.

Seduki, Sacha Baron Cohen called, he wants his Borat act back.
