If you’re looking for a music festival lineup that doesn’t cater to the top 40 artists, then boy do we have a bill for you.
On Wednesday (Feb. 12), Memphis in May unveiled its lineup for the 44th annual Beale Street Music Festival. Headlining this year’s event are The 1975, Weezer, The Smashing Pumpkins, and…Lil Wayne? Yup. You read that right.
The 2020 Beale Street Music Festival stays far away from the typical music festival roster, which usually features current chart-topping acts with a few artists from other genres to round it out. Instead, Beale Street gives us a mix of stadium-caliber groups, some old-school rappers, a couple of hip-hop acts, and a slew of rock bands.
Joining The 1975, Weezer, The Smashing Pumpkins, and Lil Wayne on this year’s roster are the Lumineers, Dababy, The Avett Brothers, three 6 Mafia, 311, the Deftones, AJR, Lindsey Buckingham, Portugal. The Man, Nelly, and more. The event reportedly host “60+ top musical acts from today and beyond.”
The first set of performers was announced in mid-December. At the time, it was confirmed that the Lumineers, Lil Wayne, the Avett Brothers, and Three 6 Mafia would head to Memphis during the beginning of May.
Tickets for the three-day music festival are currently available for purchase here. Three-day passes will run you $145 while single-day passes will cost you $55 (there’s a limited amount of single-day passes). If you feel like splurging, then VIP passes will set you back $699.
The Beale Street Music Festival will return to its longtime home of Tom Lee Park in Downtown Memphis during the weekend of May 1-3.
The full lineup for the 2020 Beale Street Music Festival can be found below.
Get your summer clothes and blunts ready because Incubus is hitting the road this summer for a massive United States-centric tour.

The 36-stop outing will find the bands performing at venues across the country throughout July, August, and September. The three acts will take the stage at a slew of major cities, including Phoenix, Salt Lake City, Dallas, Atlanta, Tampa, Charlotte, Cincinnati, Nashville, and more.
The upcoming tour kicks off on July 15 at the White River Amphitheatre in Auburn, Washington and concludes almost two months on Sept. 5 at the Klipsch Music Center in Noblesville, Indiana.

311 already announced plans to hit the touring circuit this summer and now it looks like they’ll have a new set of tunes to bring on the road. On Friday (April 12), the Nebraska-founded band confirmed the forthcoming release of their 13th studio album. Titled Voyager, the new studio effort is due out June 28 through BMG.
“Our albums have become almost like a captain’s log documenting our band’s ongoing voyage through musical styles, while also capturing our feelings and life experiences,” vocalist/guitarist Nick Hexum explains in a press statement.
“With each album, 311 continues to voyage, explore and push our musicality into new dimensions.”
He adds: “I think this album is very eclectic, from simple songs to wild studio adventures that get into weird, stoney outer-space material. It’s another step forward for us and we love the adventure, love the journey, love the process and we can’t wait for people to hear it.”
Voyager is the follow-up to 2017’s Mosaic.
The upcoming album, which features 13 new tracks, finds the band enlisting pop-punk super-producer John Feldmann and longtime collaborator Scotch Ralston to produce the album; Feldmann produced four tracks while Ralston produced the other nine.
In addition to the new album announcement, the band also released two new tracks from Voyager: “Good Feeling” and “Don’t You Worry.”
Listen to “Good Feeling” above while “Don’t You Worry” can be streamed here.
Pre-orders for Voyager are now available on the group’s website. All pre-orders come with instant downloads of both tracks.
If that wasn’t enough, 311 also revealed that everyone who pre-orders the album is automatically eligible to win numerous 311 prizes including concert tickets, meet & greet passes, handwritten lyrics, autographed goods, and more.
311 previously announced plans to embark on a massive summer tour alongside the Dirty Heads. The 34-stop trek begins on July 2 at the Rose Music Center at The Heights in Huber Heights, Ohio and concludes on Aug. 20 at the USANA Amphitheatre in Salt Lake City. The full list of tour dates can be found here.
The lineup for SunFest 2018 is out and like with past years, it looks like festival organizers made it their mission to make sure every music taste is satisfied. On Wednesday (Feb. 21), the official lineup for the 2018 incarnation of the annual South Florida music festival was unveiled. Headlining the four-day music festival this year will be Billy Idol, Girl Talk, Zedd, Incubus, Logic, Rae Sremmurd, Nick Jonas, 311, and Mr. Worldwide himself, Pitbull.
“We create our lineup to appeal to a variety of people and musical interests,” SunFest executive director Paul Jamieson explained in a statement.
As with past years, Jamieson’s statement still rings true. This year’s roster does have a little bit for every particular music taste as well as those who are interested in stepping out of their comfort zone. Holding down the fort for the pop-loving crowd are acts like Pitbull, Nick Jonas, Zedd, and DNCE while hip-hop fans will be able to enjoy performances by Rae Sremmurd and PartyNextDoor.
For the older fans in the crowd, the music festival was able to secure legendary acts like Billy Idol, who will headline the first night of the event, and KC and the Sunshine Band, who will perform Saturday afternoon. For the rock-loving crowd, bands like Incubus, Grouplove, Dreamers, and 311 will hit the stage throughout the weekend.
SunFest 2018 will invade downtown West Palm Beach from May 3 to May 6. The multi-stage event will return to its home on Flagler Drive right on the waterfront in downtown West Palm Beach. Early bird tickets are currently available on the festival’s website here. Early bird tickets cost $37-$75 with prices increasing on March 9.
The complete artist roster for SunFest 2018 can be seen below while the daily schedule/performance times can be found on SunFest’s website.
Can you smell the aroma of pine needles, packing tape, cinnamon, and plastic in the air? All those smells must mean just one thing; Christmas is around the corner.
While we are still chocolate wasted from Halloween last week, many stores have already set up their Christmas displays while the Hallmark channel has already begun their two month-long tradition of playing Christmas movies non-stop. With all this Christmas around us, why wouldn’t a band release a Christmas single?
And that’s exactly what we go today with the premiere of a Christmas song titled “Must Be Christmas.” The track came courtesy of Better Than Ezra frontman Kevin Griffin and a slew of members from several bands such as Neon Trees, Fitz and the Tantrums, 311, Smallpools and more.
The supergroup of musicians are going by the Band of Merrymakers while all proceeds from the track, which is available for purchase on iTunes, will go to the MusiCares Foundation.
See, it’s all about the giving. Besides, how many times can you listen to Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas is You” before wanting to set fire to your radio?
Check out the song below and maybe start getting into the Christmas spirit and buy the track instead of becoming a super Grinch.
The first cycle of the Common Grounds Music Festival line-up reveal might have been released yesterday, but that doesn’t make the current list any less amazing than it was yesterday.
The festival, which is set to take place during the week of July 8 through the 13 at Downtown Lansing’s Adado Riverfront Park, announced the full line-up for the July 8th schedule which will include the likes of Brand New, Say Anything, Circa Survive, The Hold Steady and a few more. 311, Flobots, OPM, Radical Something had been revealed for the July 9th schedule and for July 10th, Justin Moore and David Nail.
As per Common Grounds’ website, more artists will be announced soon, but for those that want to already buy tickets for the full six days or just for one day, the tickets are currently on sale here.
Common Grounds marks one of the few tour dates that Brand New have on schedule for 2014 including those where scalpers got to the tickets before fans did.
