Anniversary tours seem to be all the rage lately, and now, we can add Thrice to that growing list of anniversary-tour-loving bands.
On Tuesday (Sept. 17), the California-founded band announced plans to embark on the Vheissu 15th anniversary tour. The newly-announced outing will celebrate the 15th anniversary of the group’s fourth full-length record.
The month-long trek will find the act performing at venues across the United States during the first couple of months of 2020. The excursion includes stops in major markets such as Seattle, Denver, Chicago, Detroit, Brooklyn, Philadelphia, Baltimore, and more. The Vheissu 15th anniversary tour begins on Jan. 23 at the Warfield Theatre in San Francisco and concludes a little over a month later on Feb. 29 at the Norvo in Los Angeles.
mewithoutYou, Drug Church, and Holy Fawn will join Thrice on the impending tour.
Pre-sale tickets for the Vheissu 15th anniversary tour are currently on sale on Thrice’s website while general ticket sales begin this Friday, Sept. 20, at noon local time.
Vheissu was released in October 2005 through Island Records. The release included tracks like “Music Box,” “Red Sky,” “Like Moths to Flame,” and its lead single “Image of the Invisible.” Vheissu peaked at the number 15 on Billboard’s 200 Chart and the number 24 spot on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Chart.
Vheissu went on to be regarded as Thrice’s best studio album to date and made several “Best of…” lists including Sputnikmusic‘s Top 100 Albums of the 2000s, Paste‘s 25 Best Punk Albums of the 2000s, and Kerrang!‘s Top 20 Albums of 2005.
