Award season is officially around the corner and today the nominees for the Golden Globe Awards 2014 ceremony were announced this morning by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association.
The Golden Globes, for those tuning in for the first time ever, celebrate the year’s best in film and television, split into the genres of comedy (or musical) and drama.
Leading the pack this year with seven nominations each are 12 Years A Slave and American Hustle. Both lead with nominations for including one of the biggest honors of the evening, “Best Picture.” On the television front, Breaking Bad, Downton Abbey and surprise hit, Brooklyn 99 led the pack as the top-nominated programs on the small screen.
The 71st annual Golden Globe Awards will be held on Jan. 12, 2014 with our favorite funny-gals, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler taking on the role of hosts once again this year.
