Stay calm: 5 Seconds of Summer to release new album in March, unleash ‘No Shame’

5 Seconds of Summer may be able to keep CALM at the moment, but their fan base is definitely not.

On Wednesday (Feb. 5), the Australian band formally unveiled the name of their much-anticipated fourth studio effort. Dubbed C.A.L.M. (you know, the first letter of each of the guys’ names?), the record is due out March 27.

Pre-save and pre-order options are currently live on the band’s website.

The forthcoming album will feature 12-new tracks, including previously released songs “Easier,” “Teeth,” and their brand new single “No Shame” which can be streamed above.

Like their recent tour announcement, the foursome took to social media to reveal all the new information. Accompanying the news was a 20-second clip that features some live performance shots and behind-the-scenes footage, all with a grainy filter making it feel like it was something straight from the 1990s grunge era (think Nirvana and old-school Pearl Jam and Nine Inch Nails).

The new album information comes less than a week after the band announced plans to embark on a massive North American outing during the late summer.

The “No Shame” tour (which we now know is named after one of the album’s new tunes) will find the quartet performing at venues across the continent in August and September.

The tour begins on Aug. 12 at the Sports Palace in Mexico City and concludes on Sept. 26 at the Concord Pavilion in Concord, California.

The Band Camino will join 5SOS on the upcoming trek.

The full list of tour dates can be found here.

Tickets go on sale next Friday, Feb. 7, at 10 a.m. local time.

Every ticket purchased will include a physical copy of the impending album. C.A.L.M. is the follow-up to 2018’s smash hit Youngblood.
