Spice Girls to re-issue ‘Spiceworld’ and ‘Greatest Hits’ on vinyl

So tell us what you want…what you really, really want? If it’s two Spice Girls albums re-released on vinyl, then we have you covered.

On Tuesday (Feb. 4), it was announced that two Spice Girls records would be getting the vinyl treatment. The quintet’s 1997 hit Spiceworld and last year’s Greatest Hits will be the two lucky albums.

Both vinyls will be available beginning Friday, March 13, through UMe/Virgin EMI.

Both the Spiceworld and Greatest Hits re-issues will be available on 180g black vinyl and will include the original album artwork.

Spiceworld, the Spice Girl’s sophomore effort, was released in 1997 through Virgin Records. The album produced a total of four hit singles, including “Spice Up Your Life,” “Too Much,” “Stop,” and “Viva Forever.” The album debuted at the number eight spot on the US Billboard 200 chart, eventually peaking at the number three spot.

The Spice Girls’ Greatest Hits album was released last year following the group’s sold-out United Kingdom summer tour. As the title implies, the record features some of their chart-topping and fan-loving tracks such as “2 Become 1,” “Wannabe,” “Say You’ll Be There,” and more.
