Doja Cat channels her inner Harley Quinn in her ‘Birds of Prey’ contribution

We all know Harley Quinn is a ‘boss bitch.’

Just look at all the different versions we’ve been given over the past couple of decades. So, should we be surprised that someone made a song celebrating her awesomeness?

The answer is no.

On Friday (Jan. 24), Atlantic Records released another new song from the upcoming Birds of Prey soundtrack. This week, the honor went to Doja Cat and her song “Boss Bitch,” which celebrates just that, being a powerful woman who does what she wants with a devil-may-care attitude.

To coincide with the audio’s release, the rapper and the record label released its accompanying music video. The barely three-minute clip feature never-before-seen footage from the Harley Quinn-centric flick as well as footage of Doja Cat channeling everyone’s favorite spunky anti-hero.

The music video manages to mesh both the film’s footage and clips that were probably recorded at a later time seamlessly that makes you almost feel like you’ll see Doja Cat make a cameo in the actual movie.

“Boss Bitch” is the third single off Birds of Prey: The Album.

“Boss Bitch” joins previously released tunes “Diamonds” from Megan thee Stallion and Normani and “Joke’s on You” from Charlotte Lawrence on the soundtrack.

More songs from the album will be released in the upcoming weeks leading to the debut of the film.

Birds of Prey: The Album is due out Feb. 7. Pre-orders for the record are available here.

Birds of Prey: The Album was executive produced by Harley Quinn herself Margot Robbie, the film’s director Cathy Yan, Sue Kroll, and Bryan Unkeless.

Birds of Prey: The Album will feature a “badass girl gang” of musicians including Halsey, Sofi Tukker, Summer Walker, Lauren Jauregui, and Jurnee Smollett-Bell who portrays Black Canary in the film.
