Well, guys, after six years (yes, it’s been that long), My Chemical Romance has finally decided that it’s time to get the band back together and hit the stage once more.
On Thursday (Oct. 31), which also happened to be guitarist Frank Iero’s birthday, the New Jersey-founded band took to social media to confirm the news. Things started out as they usually do with the band’s social media accounts being wiped of all previous posts.
Soon, new posts started to appear on the profiles, which made way for all those rumors mills to kick into high-gear again. While everyone was busy trying to decipher what was going on, the group dropped the bomb.
A reunion show. In Los Angeles. In December.
Oh yeah. The MCRmy is ready.
My Chemical Romance will formally reunite on Dec. 20 at the Shrine Expo Hall in Los Angeles. Tickets for the show go on sale this Friday, Nov. 1, at 3 p.m. EST/noon PST.
May the odds be ever in your favor because it looks like the real Hunger Games is about to begin.

Speculations of a reunion or a one-off show have been running rampant for several years. Sadly, most of them resulted in stupid sales pitches that weren’t very well received by fans. (Does anyone remember the Black Parade reissue debacle in 2016?)
This news does come as a surprise to some because, in past interviews, the question of a reunion was always side-stepped. Earlier this year, Joe Jonas had come out and said that My Chem was recording new music to which Iero was quick to respond in a not-so-nice manner.
Looks like Jonas almost spilled the massive beans.
