With just a handful of days left until the release of their second official EP, Simple Creatures has decided to give fans one more song from the forthcoming album because…why the heck not.
On Monday (Oct. 7), the Mark Hoppus and Alex Gaskarth-led act released the third single from their impending album. Titled “One Little Lie,” the song made its worldwide debut on Daniel P. Carter’s BBC Radio 1 show. This was somewhat of a surprise since the track was supposed to be released at midnight.
“Might wanna tune into the Daniel P. Carter show this evening,” co-vocalist Gaskarth tweeted Sunday morning.

After the song’s debut, Gaskarth quickly returned to social media to thank Carter for giving the three-minute song some love. He also confirmed that the song was one of his favorites from the upcoming EP.
“One of my favs on EP2,” the singer wrote.
“One Little Lie” is featured on Simple Creature’s upcoming new EP, Everything Opposite (a direct lyric from the new tune).
Everything Opposite is due out this Friday, Oct. 11, through it was originally supposed to see a September release date (damnit, Skynet).

“One Little Lie” joins previously released songs, “Thanks I Hate It,” and “Special,” as well as “Need Me,” “The Wolf,” and “NVM” on Everything Opposite.
In non-Simple Creatures news, Hoppus, along with the rest of Blink-182, released their much-anticipated follow-up to 2016’s California last month. NINE was met with a lot of mixed reviews (and man do we mean mixed), but it has managed to do well on the charts.
The album debuted at the number three spot on the Billboard 200 chart and earned the top spot on the US Rock Albums, US Alternative Albums, US Tastemakers Albums, and US Vinyl Albums charts.
As for Gaskarth and the rest of All Time Low, the group recently announced a handful of shows to celebrate the tenth anniversary of 2009’s Nothing Personal. To coincide with the album’s anniversary, the band returned to the RedBull Studios to record a newer version of the 12-track album.
