Jimmy Eat World to release their tenth studio album in October

Are you ready for some brand new Jimmy Eat World? If you said no, then you need to stop lying to yourself.

On Monday (Sept. 23), the Arizona-founded band announced a slew of great news.

Cue the high-pitch squeals from their fans base.

First off, they have a new album heading our way in a few short weeks.

Yes. In less than a month, you will have access to ten new tracks from the foursome.

Their tenth studio album will be titled Surviving and is due out Oct. 18 through RCA Records. Pre-orders are currently available for purchase on their website.

To coincide with the new album announcement, Jimmy Eat World has unleashed the music video for the record’s lead single “All the Way (Stay).” Watch the Daniel Carberry-directed music video above.

Surviving is the follow-up to 2016’s Integrity Blues. In addition to “All the Way (Stay),” Surviving will also feature a newly recorded version of 2018’s “Love Never.”

“The crux of the decision is ‘Am I going to do something different or am I going to continue even though I hate who I am right now?’ That’s the difference between surviving and truly living. That’s the point of the songs on SURVIVING,” frontman Jim Adkins wrote in an Instagram post about the new album.

Because a new album and two singles aren’t enough, Jimmy Eat World has also announced plans to embark on a short tour in the fall.

Dubbed “Surviving, the Tour,” the newly announced excursion begins on Nov. 2 at Washington’s in Fort Collins, Colorado and concludes a few weeks later on Nov. 21 at the 40 Watt Club in Athens, Georgia.

Pre-sale tickets are currently available for purchase on the band’s website while general ticket sales begin this Friday, Sept. 27, at 10 a.m. local time.

The following day (Nov. 22), the group will head to Orlando for Florida Man Music Festival. Jimmy Eat World join the 1975, the Revivalists, SHAED, and more on the music festival’s lineup.
