Surprise! Skrillex drops two new songs

Surprise! We have some new Skrillex tunes to jumpstart the weekend.

On Friday (July 19), the musician surprised fans by releasing not one, but two new tracks. Titled “Mumbai Power” (featuring Beam) and “Fuji Opener” (featuring Alvin Risk), both tracks are featured on the DJ’s surprise new EP, Show Tracks

Listen to “Mumbai Power (feat. Beam)” above while “Fuji Opener (feat. Alvin Risk)” can be found here.

For fans who have attended any of Skrillex’s recent shows, the songs may sound a little familiar. The DJ has been incorporating the new songs into his setlist during some gigs. These two new tracks are the first pair of new tunes from the producer in quite some time.

While it’s been a while since Skrillex has released any new songs, it doesn’t mean he has not been busy. Earlier this year, he joined forces with Boys Noize and their supergroup, Dog Blood, to release “Turn Off the Lights.”

He also remixed “Due West” from Kelsey Lu’s album Blood, produced Lykke Li’s “Two Nights” Pt. 2 with Ty Dolla Sign, and even had time to create the theme song for the highly-anticipated video game Kingdom Hearts III with Japanese superstar Hikaru Utada.

No wonder we haven’t gotten any new music from him (or From First to Last).
