The Dropkick Murphys are hitting the road this fall and taking some of their friends for the ride. On Tuesday (April 16), the Boston-based band announced a United States-centric tour for later this year. The upcoming trek will find the act performing at venues across the country throughout September and October.
The 18-stop jaunt will invade several major cities including Raleigh, Charlotte, Birmingham, Detroit, St. Paul, Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles, and more. The tour begins on Sept. 20 at the MassMutual Center in Springfield, Massachusetts and concludes almost a month later on Oct. 15 at the WAMU Theater in Seattle.
The six-pieces impending tour schedule also includes two previously confirmed music festival appearances; Sea.Hear.Now Festival on Sept. 22 in Asbury Park, New Jersey and Louder than Life on Sept. 28 in Louisville.
Clutch and Hatebreed are the tour’s direct supporting acts while Amigo the Devil and Russ Rankin of Good Riddance will perform on select dates.
“This fall we’re hitting the road with Clutch and special guests Hatebreed, Amigo the Devil, and Russ Rankin of Good Riddance,” the band posted alongside the official flyer for the upcoming trek. Watch the band’s tour announcement video above.
The fall tour is in support of the Dropkick Murphy’s latest studio release, 2017’s 11 Short Stories of Pain & Glory. The album, the group’s ninth studio effort, debuted at the number eight spot on the Billboard 200 chart.
