This year may mark the first year that punk, pop-punk, and emo kids may not have the Vans Warped Tour, but it looks like a new music festival is ready to take over the summertime void. On Monday (March 25), the first annual Disrupt Festival was announced. Boasting acts like The Used, Circa Survive, Sum 41, and Thrice as headliners, the cross-country trek will take over North America during June and July.
Joining The Used, Circa Survive, Sum 41, and Thrice on the inaugural lineup are: The Story So Far, Atreyu, Sleeping with Sirens, Andy Black, Four Year Strong, Memphis May Fire, Trophy Eyes, Meg & Dia, Juliet Simms, and Hyro the Hero.
The 25-stop jaunt will include stops in major markets such as Austin, West Palm, Beach, Tampa, Atlanta, Charlotte, Toronto, Denver, Boise, and Phoenix. Disrupt Festival begins its journey across the continent on June 21 at the Dos Equis Pavilion in Dallas and concludes on July 28 at the Isleta Amphitheater in Albuquerque.
Tickets for the upcoming event go on sale this Friday, March 29, at 10 a.m. local time. Citi cardmembers will have access to pre-sale tickets beginning this Tuesday, March 26, at noon. Pre-sales end on Thursday, March 28, at 10 p.m. local time.
In addition to general tickets, Disrupt Festival will also offer several VIP packages and meet and greet packages with The Used or Sleeping with Sirens. As noted by the festival, meet and greet packages do not include a concert ticket.
Unlike other music festivals, Disrupt Festival promises that “there will only be one band performing at a time, avoiding conflicting set times and allowing fans to experience the full lineup in one rock-filled day.”
