The toys are back in the first full trailer for “Toy Story 4.” On Tuesday (March 19), the first official trailer for the upcoming Disney flick debuted on Good Morning America. The two-and-half-minute clip gives us a better look at the storyline for the movie; something that has been kept under lock and key since the first teaser was unveiled in November.
The trailer begins with Woody introducing the toy squad to Bonnie’s newest creation/toy, a self-aware Spork named Forky. Knowing that he was only made for “soup, salad, maybe chili and then the trash,” the utensil decides to escape. Since he is currently Bonnie’s favorite toy, Woody sets out to bring back the Spork, no matter what.
Along the way, he finds Bo Peep —who went missing— in an office. When Woody and Forky sneak in, they are attacked by some toys that look like they may have come from our darkest nightmares. After being saved by Bo Peep (in her new attire), she introduces Woody to a new world where he no longer needs to belong to one child, but a slew of children.
“Who needs a kid’s room when you can have all of this,” Bo Peep tells Woody as she introduces him to the film’s carnival setting.
While taking a look at this new potential world of lost toys, it makes Woody begin to wonder if maybe this might be the best option for him.
“I was made to help a child. I don’t remember it being his hard.”
While this is all happening, Buzz Lightyear and the rest of the toys set out to save their missing friends and bring them back to an upset Bonnie.
