AJR announce ‘Neotheater’ world tour dates

AJR just confirmed the release of their new studio album earlier this week, and now it looks like the group has no plans on slowing down. On Friday (March 15), the New York-founded act announced plans to embark on a United States-centric tour later this year.

Dubbed the NEOTHEATER world tour, the upcoming trek will find the group performing at venues across the country throughout September, October, and November. The 24-stop outing will include shows in Los Angeles, Portland, Salt Lake City, Detroit, St. Louis, Austin, Orlando, and more.

The first leg of the tour begins on Sept. 20 at the Harrah’s Casino in Council Bluffs, Iowa and concludes almost two months later on Nov. 12 at the Infinite Energy Center in Atlanta. Tickets for the newly announced excursion go on sale next Friday, March 22, at 10 a.m. local time.

The upcoming tour is in support of the band’s forthcoming third studio album, NEOTHEATER. The record is due out April 26 through their own label, AJR Productions. Pre-orders for the album are currently available here.

NEOTHEATER is the follow-up to 2017’s The Click.

The band announced the release of the forthcoming release earlier this week when they shared the music video for the song’s lead single, “100 Bad Days.” A day later, they treated fans to another song titled “Birthday Party.”

Before hitting the touring circuit in the fall, AJR previously announced a few appearances in the summer. They’re scheduled to perform at LaureLive in Beachwood, Ohio on June 9 before appearing at several music festivals such as BottleRock, Bonnaroo, and Firefly.
