Carly Rae Jepsen just dropped a music video to satisfy all the crazy cat people out there. On Thursday (March 13), the Canadian pop star unveiled the music video for her latest single, “Now That I Found You.” Instead of going the clichéd route by having her fixated on a man, the video finds Jepsen obsessed with a cat.
The four-and-a-half-minute clip begins with Jepsen getting into her car as the rain comes down around her. As she gets into the sports car, she hears meowing and decides to investigate. Situated inside of a cardboard box on top of crumbled newspaper sits a yellow Scottish fold. Like love at first sight, she takes the furry animal home with her.
The video follows Jepsen as she goes about her day, singing the song to the cat. Soon, she ends up with a slew of yellow Scottish folds in her apartment and even begins to rock some cat-themed attire; purr-fect for your cat-obsessive friends. After smoking some catnip, she wakes up from her strange dream only to realize that the cat was missing.
She sets out to look for the cat and ends up back where it all began. She hears the cat meowing, and when she looks up, she sees a man holding the cat. And just like that, it’s love at first meow.
If the music video gives you some serious “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” vibes, then you may be onto something.

“Now That I Found You” was directed by Carlos Lopez Estrada and Nelson de Castro while the video was conceptualized by Jepsen.
Jepsen released “Now That I Found You” last month alongside another new single, “No Drug Like Me.” Both tracks as well as 2018’s “Party for One” will reportedly be featured on the singer’s upcoming fourth album, though a release date has yet to be confirmed. Jepsen’s last studio album was 2015’s E•MO•TION.
