A week after sharing her first new song in four years, Marina Diamandis has returned with a slew of good news for her fans. On Thursday (Feb. 14), the Welsh singer —now going by Marina— announced the upcoming release of her fourth studio album.
Dubbed LOVE+FEAR, the forthcoming studio effort is due out April 26 through Atlantic Records. LOVE+FEAR is the follow-up to 2015’s FROOT. Pre-orders for the album are currently available here.
According to a statement on behalf of the musician, LOVE+FEAR is split into two eight-song collections. The LOVE portion of the collection is described as “filled with a longing to enjoy life and a desire to unite and empower” while the FEAR collection “delve[s] into matters of purpose and insecurity, also touching on conversations surrounding gender inequality and more broadly, the abuse of power.”
The impending album found Marina recording the 16 tracks over the course of two years in places such as Sweden, London, and Los Angeles.
In support of LOVE+FEAR, Marina also unveiled a slew of tour dates for 2019. The first tour will find the singer performing across the United Kingdom throughout the months of April and May. After taking some time off, she will make her way across the pond for the North American leg of the LOVE+FEAR tour.
The U.K. leg of the LOVE+FEAR tour begins on April 29 at the O2 Academy in Newcastle and concludes a couple of weeks later on May 10 at the Manchester Apollo in Manchester.
Following a few months off the road, Marina will travel to North America for her United States and Canadian-centric jaunt. That portion of the tour begins on Sept. 10 at Rebel Toronto and concludes a month later on Oct. 9 at the Orpheum Theatre in Vancouver.
Pre-sale tickets go on sale this Monday, Feb. 18, at noon local time. General ticket sales begin next Friday, Feb. 22, at 10 a.m. local time. The full list of upcoming tour dates can be found below.
