UPDATE (11/08/18 06:39 PM EST):
Hours after news broke that Bad Omens would no longer join Senses Fail and The Amity Affliction on their upcoming “Misery Will Find You” tour, the group has spoken out about their decision to leave.
Taking to social media, the metalcore outfit claims that “the terms of our deal to be the direct support act on this co-headline tour were negotiated prior to accepting the tour and they were not honored.”
Their post continues: “Our team politely and professionally asked it to be honored before the tour was announced and they refused. Specific assets requested were neither sent or approved. After all of this and the tour still going live we did our best to remedy the situation to stay involved and we were met with total disrespect. At this point it was a matter of principle. We aren’t going to be another young band that gets pushed around by older bands. Sorry if that doesn’t work for you. This public shaming campaign the bands have created online is both ironic and symbolic to the situation, as well as confirmation we made the right choice by leaving this tour.”

It definitely looks like misery found its way to one band on the upcoming Senses Fail / The Amity Affliction tour.
A day after announcing plans to hit the touring circuit during the months of January and February, Senses Fail have just announced a change to the previously unveiled tour roster. On Thursday (Nov. 8), the New Jersey-founded band revealed that supporting act Bad Omens would no longer be on the forthcoming tour. According a statement from Senses Fail, Bad Omens decided to drop from the excursion due to the “size of their name on the artwork.”
“We have to let you know that Bad Omens have pulled out of this tour. They were unhappy about the size of their name on the artwork and felt the need to pull out the day after we announced the tour,” the band’s post on social media reads.
They continue: “The Amity Affliction and Senses Fail are working hard to find a replacement and we look forward to sharing that with you as soon as possible.”
At the time of publication, Bad Omen have yet to respond to Senses Fail’s letter to fans concerning their rash departure.
The “Misery Will Find You” tour is slated to begin on Jan. 4 at the House of Blues in Anaheim and conclude a month or so later on Feb. 9 at the Regent in Los Angeles. The co-headlining tour includes stops in Las Vegas, Phoenix, Orlando, Philadelphia, Cleveland, Seattle, and Sacramento.
Tickets for the shows are currently available.
