It looks like 2019 is going to be a busy year for the guys in While She Sleeps. On Monday (Oct. 29), the United Kingdom-founded band announced plans to release a brand new record in 2019. Titled So What?, the album is due out March 1 through the five-piece’s Sleeps Brothers and Spinefarm Records. Pre-orders for So What? are currently available here.
So What? is the follow-up to 2017’s You Are We. The album, the band’s third studio effort, was crowdfunded and released through their own record label. The album went on to get nominated for a series of Metal Hammer Awards and even earned them the “Best Album” award at the Heavy Music Awards.
So What? will mark the band’s first record to be released in conjunction with a major record label. The last time the quintet released an album via a major record label was in 2015 for their sophomore effort, Brainwashed (Search and Destroy, Sony Music, Razor & Tie).
In addition to announcing their fourth studio album, While She Sleeps also unleashed the music video for the record’s lead single, “Anti-Social.”
The almost-five-minute clip finds the band playing in the background as many social issues are brought to the forefront. The clip includes a man filming a teenager get beat up on a bus rather than help him, the shooting of an unarmed person, a teacher showing kids that not getting “likes” on social media is the worst thing that can happen, the effects of pollution on an aquarium, and how people trade their lives for stupid things like booze, phones, and cigarettes.
