Watch: Halestorm spoof ‘Rocky Horror’ in ‘Do Not Disturb’

Things are about to get a little frightening over at Camp Halestorm. On Wednesday (Oct. 10), the Pennsylvania-founded band unleashed the music video for their latest single, “Do No Disturb.” Instead of treating fans to an overly sexualized music video for the “naughty” track, the band decided to go in a different direction getting some inspiration from some Halloween staples like “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” and the Queen of Darkness herself, Elvira.

The three-and-a-half-minute clip begins with a couple who look like a bunch of “clean-cut, all-American” kids, stuck in the rain in the middle of a desolate area. They make their way to a creepy looking house hoping for some solace. Turns out that the place belongs to frontwoman Lzzy Hale (putting on her best Elvira impression) while the house staff is made up of the rest of the band.

Throughout the clip, the viewer watches as Hale takes the couple on a tour of the place, shows them to their room, and even helps them undress. Soon, the couple begins to notice that something is off about the house staff. First they cut the cord to the telephone so they can’t make a call. Then, they slip some poison in their drinks. Things come to a head when the staff begins to chase the couple around the house alla Scooby-Doo eventually corning them. Just when the staff thinks they have their victims in the palm of their hands, something strange happens.

“‘Do Not Disturb’ is based off a true story of mine about a very fun night I had overseas that all started with the pickup line, ‘I think we should make out,'” said frontwoman Lzzy Hale about the song. “And since it’s October… the boys and I decided to spooky-up the story with a few…minor exaggerations.”

“Do Not Disturb” is the third single off Halestorm’s recently released record, Vicious. Vicious, the band’s fourth studio album, was released in July.

In support of the album, Halestorm recently confirmed that they had extended their massive, female-fronted band tour with In This Moment and New Years Day. The newly added shows will begin on Nov. 16 at the Constant Convocation Center in Norfolk, Virginia and conclude on Dec. 16 at the Mahaffey Theater in St. Petersburg, Florida.
