Watch: CHVRCHES explore young love and adventure in ‘Graffiti’

Months after releasing their much-anticipated third studio album, CHVRCHES have returned with a brand new music video for another track off the recently released record. On Tuesday (Oct. 9), the Scottish band unleashed the clip for their latest single, “Graffiti.” The almost-four-minute video follows two teenagers as they hang out and go on adventures in a one-day span.

The viewer watches as the pair ride a bike on deserted road, relax by a tree in a forest, listen to music and eat pizza in one of their houses, and chill (and float) inside of a creepily dark farmhouse. If you had any expectations of seeing any of the members of the band in the clip, then you may be let down. The complete music video centers around the two protagonists and their one-day adventure. “Graffiti” is featured on CHVRCHES recently released record, Love is Dead. “Graffiti” joins previously released singles “Get Out,” “My Enemy,” “Never Say Die,” and “Miracle” on the group’s third studio effort.

Love is Dead was released in late May via Virgin EMI. Though it was met with mixed reactions from fans and critics alike, the album reached the No. 1 spot on Billboard‘s Top Alternative Albums and Top Rock Albums chart. Love is Dead peaked right outside the Billboard 200 chart’s top ten, earning the No. 11 spot during the week of June 9, 2018.

Currently, the trio are in the midst of wrapping up their North American tour in support of Love is Dead. Tonight (Oct. 10), the three-piece will hit the stage at The Tabernacle in Atlanta. The list of remaining tour dates can be found here.
