UPDATE (JULY 30) – A week after announcing a two-week, mini tour for September, Blink-182 have added two more bands to the lineup. On Monday (July 30), the California band announced that Seaway and American Authors will perform at selected stops. Canadian band Seaway will play alongside Blink (and State Champs) on Sept. 18 at the Colosseum at Caesars Windsor in Windsor, Ontario while New York-based quartet American Authors will play on Sept. 25 at Harrah’s Stir Cove in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

ORIGINAL (JULY 23, 2018) – For Blink-182, the past month has been an eventful one for the trio. With their much-anticipated Las Vegas residency being re-scheduled due to drummer Travis Barker’s health concerns, their latest announcement is a bit of a head-scratcher. On Monday (July 23), the California-founded band announced plans to hit the North American touring circuit during the month of September.
The short headlining gig will begin on Sept. 12 at Bluestem Meadow in Moorhead, Minnesota and conclude two weeks later on Sept. 25 at Harrah’s Council Bluffs – Stir Cove in Council Bluffs, Iowa. State Champs will open for Blink-182 during the full eight-stop excursion.
“Stoked to head out for this little run. Tickets on sale Friday at blink182.com,” the band posted on Twitter.
Tickets for the forthcoming tour will go on sale this Friday, July 27, on the band’s website.
Following the short trek, the group will resume their “Kings of the Weekend” Las Vegas residency in October and November. The rescheduled tour dates can be found here.
The upcoming tour dates come a month after Blink-182 was forced to reschedule the June dates of their Vegas show due to Barker’s health concerns. At the time, the band assured fans that Barker would be re-evaluated by doctors at the beginning of July only for the musician to be involved in a car accident with a school bus soon after.
As for current guitarist and co-vocalist Matt Skiba, his other band, Alkaline Trio, recently announced a tour which inserting enough leaves the month of September completely vacant.
