Good Charlotte tease some big for Friday

Is the Good Charlotte wait almost over? If we are to believe the band’s latest social media post, then the answer is yes. On Monday (May 21), the Baltimore-founded group took to Instagram once again to unleashed another teaser. This time, the band posted a ten second clip which features some footage flickering between a black screen and their ever-present steel-blue skull. At the end of the snippet, the numbers “05/25/18” appear on the screen cautioning fans that some answers will be given this Friday, May 25, 2018. Watch the Instagram video here.

The new clip comes after weeks of the five-piece posting random clips on their social media accounts. The teasers began with the band posting old press photos of themselves with the same steel-blue skull from the current video covering their faces. Then, last week, they did the same thing, but on other artists’ album covers. Those albums include Garth Brooks’ Ropin’ the Wind, Celine Dion’s Let’s Talk About Love, The Fugees’ The Score, Bob Dylan’s Nashville Skylines, and Kenny G’s Breathless. Like all of their other similar posts, these did not have any caption or explanation attached.

While we may not get any answers until the end of the week, fans are hoping that this is the band’s way of announcing new music. Good Charlotte officially returned from their hiatus in 2016 with the release of their sixth studio album, Youth Authority. Since the album’s release in July of 2016, the band has been touring behind it on and off for the past two years. In that time, they’ve headlined a slew of tours as well as performed on the inaugural Warped Rewind at Sea last year.
