Listen: Against the Current drop new set of songs

It’s new music Friday, so that means a lot of artists are getting their fans pumped for the weekend by releasing new music. One of those acts treating fans to new tunes are New York-founded trio, Against the Current. Instead of releasing just one new song, the band decided to treat fans to a double dose of new tunes.

The first track is titled “Almost Forgot” and can be streamed above while the second new song is titled “Strangers Again” which can be streamed here. Though no official confirmation has been given, fans are speculating that the new songs will be featured on the band’s upcoming sophomore album.

Prior to the major reveal, the group had been teasing fans about something big happening at midnight. First, they posted a message on Twitter that simply read “…in with the new. Midnight.”

Shortly after, each member of the band posted a photograph of themselves lit up by icy blue lights on their personal Twitter accounts. Accompanying each of the photos was a short caption making reference to something happening at midnight.

As if that wasn’t enough, a few hours after the individual posts, the band’s Twitter was updated with a new post reading “new day. new sounds.”

While fans wait around for Against the Current to confirm their sophomore album’s release, the group will head out on the road once again this fall. The three-piece will embark on their 2018 European tour beginning Sept. 15 at the Academy in Dublin. The trek will conclude a couple of weeks later on Oct. 11 at the Yoyo in Paris.

Prior to making the trek across the pond, Against the Current will once join forces with Fall Out Boy for their MANIA North American tour. Instead of opening for the band during their North American stops like they did in Europe, Against the Current will only play three shows with Fall Out Boy (Aug. 29 – Uniondale, NY – Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum; Aug. 31 – Uncasville, CT – Mohegan Sun Arena; and Sept. 01 – Hershey, PA – Hershey Park Stadium).

  1. Hey there this is somewhat of off topic but I was wondering if blogs use WYSIWYG
editors or if you have to manually code with HTML. I’m starting a blog soon but have no coding know-how so I wanted
to get advice from someone with experience. Any help would
    be greatly appreciated!
