CHVRCHES announce North American fall tour

CHVRCHES’ new album will soon be out and it looks like the group is already making plans to take the new set of tunes out on the road. On Monday (April 23), the Scottish trio formally announced plans to hit the North American touring circuit throughout the summer months and well into the fall months. The upcoming trek will officially kick off on June 3 with the band’s appearance at the Governors Ball Music Festival in New York.

Following several apeparances at music festivals around the country including Lollapalooza, Hinterland Music Festival, and Outside Lands, the group will take a month off. On Sept. 20, the trio will resume their touring schedule at the Open Air Theatre in San Diego. The tour will then conclude a month later on Oct. 20 at the Orpheum Theatre in Boston. Tickets for the newly announced show will go on sale beginning this Friday, April 27.

The lengthy tour will be in support of CHVRCHES’ upcoming new album Love is Dead. Love is Dead is set to be released on May 25 through the band’s longtime home of Glassnote Records. The trio have already released a total of four songs from the impending release; lead single “Get Out,” “My Enemy,” “Never Say Dies,” and “Miracle.”
