Culture Club announce plans for major summer tour

If you’re all about the feeling of nostalgia, then there’s a major summertime tour that you will want to get tickets to as soon as possible. On Tuesday (March 20), Culture Club announced plans to hit the road this summer alongside fellow 80s staples, the B-52s and Tom Bailey of the Thompson Twins. The trek will find the classic groups touring around the country during the months of June, July, August, September, and October. Named “The Life Tour,” the excursion will kick off on June 29 at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre in St. Augustine, Fla. and wrap up several months later on Oct. 5 at the Big Fresno Fair in Fresno, Calif.

Tickets for select dates of the tour are currently available while general ticket sales will begin this Friday, March 23. For more information about the tour, head on over to Culture Club’s website here.

According to Rolling Stone, Culture Club’s set list for the upcoming journey will feature not only new songs, but also the classic tunes that helped launch them into the mainstream and made them household names.

As if a massive tour isn’t enough for fans of Boy George and company, George has also confirmed that fans should anticipate the release of new music during the upcoming tour.

“Certainly a single with album following close behind,” George responded to a fan’s inquiry on Twitter.

The new album, which George has been working on since 2016, will be titled Tribes and will be the long-awaited follow-up to 1999’s Don’t Mind If I Do.
