Between the Buried and Me and the Dear Hunter are getting ready embark on a short tour this spring. On Thursday (Jan. 17), the bands jointly announced a co-headlining tour which will find them performing at venues across the country. The upcoming tour will kick off on March 2 at the House of Blues in Chicago and conclude a little over a month later on April 7 at the Emerald Theatre in Mount Clemens, Michigan.
Hitting the road alongside both bands for the complete trek will be Norwegian prog-metal band Leprous. Tickets for the tour will go on sale beginning this Friday, Jan. 19. currently, VIP passes for the shows are available here.
The upcoming tour will be in support of Between the Buried and Me’s recently announced record, Automata Part I. The album, which the band has confirmed is part of a two-part release, is set to be released on March 9 through the band’s new home of Sumerian Records. While Automata Part I has officially been given a release date, there is no indication of when the band plans on releasing the second part. Like the tour tickets, pre-orders for the album will begin this Friday.
Automata Part I and Part II will be the follow-up to the group’s 2015 release, Coma Ecliptic.
