Vans Warped Tour alums, Silverstein just wrapped up their seventh time on the annual traveling music festival, but now, the group is paying homage to this year’s excursion with their latest music video. On Wednesday (Aug. 16), the Canadian band unleashed a clip for their latest single, “The Afterglow.” The music video has a simple premise; follow the group before, after, and during their set.
The Warwick Hughes-directed clip shows the band joking around before they are slated to hit the stage for their half-an-hour set as well as the behind-the-scenes antics they participate in during their time off. While there are several shots of the band during their downtime, most of the music video features the band performing for huge crowds and even preparing to perform as Silvertooth; their “supergroup” with Beartooth. Sadly, there is not footage of the band getting killed by fellow Warped 2017 band, GWAR. Watch the music video for “The Afterglow” above.
“The Afterglow” joins previously released singles “Mirror Box,” “Whiplash,” “Lost Positives,” “Ghost,” and “Retrograde” on their eighth studio album, Dead Reflection. Dead Reflection was released back in July through Rise Records. Dead Reflection reached the number 46 spot on the Billboard 200 chart and the number 64 spot on the Canadian Albums chart. Dead Reflection is the follow-up to the group’s 2015 release, I Am Alive in Everything I Touch. This fall, the band will embark on the first phase of a massive world tour.
