Foster the People confirms new album, adds tour dates

Back in April, Foster the People confirmed their return to the music world when they unleashed their first new song in almost three years, “Doing it for the Money.” Instantly, the new song became an alternative radio station staple while no official name or release date was given for the new set of tunes. On Tuesday (June 13), the California-founded band confirmed that their third studio album will be titled Sacred Hearts Club and will see a release date of July 21.

In conjunction with the album announcement, the band also released a five-minute documentary following the guys as they prepare to hit the road. In addition to the behind-the-scenes footage, the “Sacred Hearts Club (the Beginning)” clip also gives the fans a little taste of what to expect from the upcoming record. Watch the five-minute clip above.

In support of Sacred Hearts Club, Foster the People has also added more North American tour stops for their current world tour which will all take place during the fall months. Last week, the band wrapped up the first leg of their tour and will once again hit the road in early July. Tickets for the newly added dates will go on sale beginning this Friday, June 16. The complete list of tour dates as well the track listing for the new album can be seen below.
