Dropkick Murphys drop video for ‘Until the Next Time’

The Dropkick Murphys may have released their brand new album, 11 Short Stories of Pain & Glory, earlier this year, but don’t expect the Boston boys to stop releasing music videos for the record’s tracks. On Thursday (June 8), the group released their music video for their latest single “Until the Next Time.” The video has a simple premise that celebrates the fans with the four-minute clip mostly featuring shots of the band’s fans at the shows, meeting them behind-the scenes, and even over taking the  stage while the band is still performing.

“The music video for ‘Until the Next Time’ was directed by our longtime friend and amazing photographer Gregory Nolan during our 11 Short Stories of Pain & Glory Tour in both Europe and the U.S. This song is about our relationship with YOU, the best fans on the planet,” explains vocalist/bassist Ken Casey in a press release.

He continues: “It’s about the memories and the great friends we’ve made along the way…about the pleasure of coming to so many cities that we feel we can almost call home, and the bittersweet moments of having to say goodbye and move on to the next town every night.”

“Until the Next Time” is featured on the band’s ninth studio album, 11 Short Stories Of Pain & Glory which was released back in January. The record debut at the number eight spot on the Billboard Top 200 chart and came out at the top spot in the independently released album category.

In support of the new record, the band has been touring relentlessly since January. Currently, the band is in Europe on the European leg of the 11 Short Stories of Pain & Glory Tour. Once the tour concludes on July 16 at the Iveagh Gardens in Dublin, Ireland, the Dropkick Murphys will return to the United States for their joint “From Boston to Berkeley Tour” with Rancid.

The “From Boston to Berkeley Tour” will kick off on July 27 at Darling’s Waterfront Pavilion in Bangor, Maine and wrap up a month later on Aug. 26 at the It’s Not Dead Festival in San Bernardino, CA. The Bouncing Souls and Jake Burns of Stiff Little Fingers will open the tour from July 27 to Aug. 9. From Aug. 11 to the end of the tour, The Selecter and Kevin Seconds from 7 Seconds will replace The Bouncing Souls and Burns.
