Watch Blink-182’s say goodbye to home in ‘Home is Such a Lonely Place’

Having a family and going on tour is probably the hardest part of being a musician. Interview after interview, musicians that travel a lot for their job have said that leaving behind their loved ones is the hardest part of being professional musicians. For Blink-182, a seasoned band made up of fathers, leaving behind their family must be even harder. On Tuesday (June 6), the California-founded band released their music video for “Home is Such a Lonely Place” which shows the viewer first hard the hardships of leaving on tour.

The video begins with all three guys holding film cameras to a mirror and capturing their reflections on film. As the video progresses, we see each member spending time with their loved ones before packing in and heading to a venue for their show that night.

“The video for ‘Home is Such a Lonely Place’ was probably the easiest we’ve ever filmed,” the band writes in a joint statement on social media. “All we had to do was be ourselves at home with our family and friends, as we prepared to leave for tour. Consequently, it’s also our most personal and honest videos, and one of my favorites.”
