Watch: Halestorm get emotional for ‘Dear Daughter’ video

With Mothers’ Day just around the corner and women’s issues at an all time high, Halestorm has returned with a brand new music video telling them that it will be all right. On Thursday (May 4), the Pennsylvania-based band unleashed their music video for “Dear Daughter.” The clip follows frontwoman Lzzy Hale as she sings to a camera while in between clips of her, we see girls looking a little discouraged and afraid. As the song hits its climax, we get to see all those same exact girls do a complete change as those doubts and fears disappear.

“I’m hoping that through this song, I can spread the inspiration and empowerment that has been instilled in me,” writes Hale about the new music video on her Tumblr account. “Carve your own path, ladies (and little gents too). I’m living proof that nothing in life is impossible.” Watch the full music video for “Dear Daughter” above.

In honor of Mothers’ Day which is Sunday, May 14, the group is encouraging fans to post pictures of their mothers and/or daughters with their own stories of encouragement using the hashtag, #DearDaughter.

“Dear Daughter” is featured on Halestorm’s recently released record, Into the Wild Life. The record, the group’s third studio album, was released in the spring of 2015.
