A few weeks after unveiling their new single off of their impending record Bad Vibrations, A Day to Remember has released the track’s music video. On Tuesday (Aug. 16), the Florida-founded band unleashed their fast-moving clip for “Bullfight.” The almost five-minute clip begins with the first part of a quote by Lao Tzu being displayed on the screen. The first part of the quote reads, “Man knows nothing except confrontation. History has shown this from the beginning.” The video, which was directed by Darren Doane, picks up and mainly focuses on artist Rob Prior.

For those trying to analyze the clip, it appears like Prior is so overwhelmed by all the negativity happening in the world, and even from the past, that it inspires him to paint. This could be a direct nod to the quote at the beginning. While the video is mostly Prior in his “natural habitat,” we do get to see A Day to Remember in the clip. Instead of being the stars of the music video, like many of their previous releases, they seem to play secondary to Prior. The video concludes with the rest of Tzu’s quote which reads, “If you do not change direction, you may end up where you are heading.”

“Bullfight” will join previously released tracks “Bad Vibrations” and lead single “Paranoia” on Bad Vibrations. Originally set to be released this Friday, Aug. 19, Bad Vibration will now hit stores on Sept. 2. The new album will be released through the band’s own record label, ADTR Records, but distributed in conjunction with Epitaph Records.

Bad Vibrations is the follow-up to the group’s 2012 release, Common Courtesy. Pre-orders for the new album are currently available on A Day to Remember’s website which can be found here. In support of the new album, ADTR is currently in the middle of Blink-182’s “California” summer tour. Our recap of the show can be found here while the remaining tour dates can be found here.
