After spending their full summer on the Vans Warped Tour, Broadside is ready to pay homage to the two months spent on the annual, traveling rock show. On Wednesday (Aug. 3), the Virginia-based band released their music video for their latest single, “The Simple Type.” The music video, which runs at under three-and-a-half minutes, was recorded during the Syracuse, NY and Virginia Beach, VA (the guys’ hometown show) stop of Warped Tour.
The video features behind-the scenes clips on the group performing onstage, meeting fans, signing autographs, and some-on-the-tour-bus antics. “‘The Simple Type’ is about living on the edge of your seat,” explains vocalist Ollie Baxxter about the group’s latest single. “I wrote it about my younger brother. He’s very low-key and makes decisions based off initial judgement. He’s one of those people that you sit back and ask how he got so lucky to not over analyze a decision, doesn’t fear any person, and still comes out on top. Like the line says, ‘Shoot first, ask questions last!'”
