With a couple of weeks left until their much-anticipated new album, Garbage has released the music video for its lead single, “Empty.” On Monday (May 23), the group unleashed the music video for the new track which features them performing in what appears to be a dark nigh club, illuminated by colorful spotlights. The clip was directed by Samuel Bayer. As a word of caution, if you get motion sickness you might not want to watch the video because there’s a lot of movement with the camera as it circles each of the band members. If not, them check out the video for “Empty” below.
“Empty” will be featured on Garbage’s upcoming new album, Strange Little Birds. Strange Little Birds is set to be released on June 10 through the group’s record label imprint, STUNVOLUME. Those who pre-order the album on iTunes will receive an instant download of the new single. Strange Little Birds is the follow-up to the band’s 2012 release, Not Your Kind of People.
In support of Strange Little Birds, the band announced that they will be hitting the road this summer. The “Strange Little Birds” tour will kick off on July 6 at Summerfest in Milwaukee, WI and wrap up on Aug. 3 at Washington D.C.’s The Lincoln Theater.
