HAIM announce summer tour, tease new music


HAIM fans, there is a lot of good news coming from the sister group’s camp. On Wednesday (March 30), the trio announced that they will be hitting the road later this summer. The upcoming tour will kick off on May 17 at the Observatory in Santa Ana, CA and wrap up over two months later during the weekend of July 29-37 at Montreal’s Osheaga Music and Arts Festival.

The act’s tour will include several stops at venues for their own headlining gigs as well as a slew of previously announced summer music festivals. Festivals include Boston’s Boston Calling, New York’s Governor’s Ball, Cincinnati’s Bunbury, Manchester, TN’s Bonnaroo, Chicago’s Lollapalooza, and several more. Fan pre-sales for the shows begin today while general ticket sales will begin on Friday, April 1. The complete list of tour stops can be seen below.

In addition to the newly confirmed tour dates, the group has also announced that there is in fact new music on the horizon. “We’ve just been in the studio so long, perfecting and trying to get it right. At this point we just want to go out there and play the songs live,” the band wrote in an Instagram post. At the current moment, they are in Los Angeles  “finalizing” the much-anticipated follow-up to 2013’s Days Are Gone.
