A Day to Remember debut “Paranoia”

“What is A Day to Remember up to?” has been a question that many fans of the Florida-based band have been asking over the past couple of weeks. After their funny video update during the weekend, which found the members doing random things to occupy their “free time” and addressing their long break, speculations began to surface. Now, it looks like we have an official answer to that answer. On Wednesday  (March 9), the group released a brand new song titled “Paranoia.”

The new track made its debut on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 show on Apple Music. Before the track was officially unleashed to the public, ADTR frontman Jeremy McKinnon spoke to Lowe about their music-making process and whether we should be expecting more music soon. “I don’t know man. We’re just putting out this one song for fun. I mean, I think this is fun,” McKinnon told Lowe. “We’ve actually never just come out of nowhere and been like, ‘Here’s something new.'””Paranoia” can currently be streamed here.

“Paranoia” marks the group’s first new song since the release of 2013’s Common Courtesy. But while McKinnon  insistently told Lowe that there is no new album floating around, fans of the band don’t need to worry about their long break. Like it was revealed earlier this year, and reinforced in the update video, the band will be hitting the road this spring.

The upcoming trek will include a slew of music festivals including two in their home state of Florida; Ft. Myers’ Fort Rock and Jacksonville’s Welcome to Rockville. When they are not appearing at festivals, they will be keeping busy on their own tour with Parkway Drive and State Champs. Those upcoming tour dates can be seen below.
