Deftones Announce Summer Headlining Tour

It’s official, the Deftones are back. With the band set to release their new studio album in the spring and a slew of music festivals already planned to fill up their touring schedule, the California group has now unveiled some headlining dates. On Monday (Feb. 29), the official list of upcoming tour dates for the Deftones was announced. The tour will unofficially kick-off this Saturday, March 5, at Travis Barker’s Musink Festival where they will play alongside Taking Back Sunday.

After about two weeks, they will pack up their bags and hit the road for their lengthy North American headlining tour. Then, in June, they will cross the pond for a slew of European shows including appearances at Rock AM Ring/Rock IM Ring in Germany, the Download Festival in the United Kingdom (and now France), and the NorthSide Festival in Denmark before wrapping up on June 18 at Secret Solstice in Reykjavik, Iceland.

Tickets for the upcoming tour are set to go on sale beginning this Friday, March 4. The complete list of summer tour dates can be seen below.

The lengthy tour dates are in support of the Deftones upcoming new album Gore. The new record, their eighth, is set to be released on April 8 through Warner Bros. Records. Pre-orders for Gore are currently ongoing on the band’s website. The album pre-order also includes and instant download of the album’s lead single, “Prayers/Triangles.”
