Just when we thought that Jimmy Kimmel had wrapped up one of his biggest music-centric skits, the late night host is back with it. Over the last couple of months, Kimmel has been getting two unlikely bands/artists together to perform one of the two artists’ songs. The only thing that could tie them together is how close in relation their names are.
Back in December, Fall Out Boy and Boyz II Men did a mashup of “Motownphilly,” so nothing should be surprising at this point. On Monday (Feb. 15), Kimmel gave us another edition of Mashup Monday, with Panic! at the Disco and early-2000s artist, Sisqo. The name of the joint effort? Panic! at the Sisqo, of course. As for the track, it was the song that made Sisqo a household name at the time, “The Thong Song.” Check out the video for the latest Mashup Monday below and try not to scratch your head and go “what the…” throughout the video.
While this is on a whole other level of crazy pairings, the pairing for Panic! at the Disco’s upcoming summer tour is not that out there. This summer, the Las Vegas band will head out on the North American road for a co-headlining tour with Weezer. The trek will get support from Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness. For the complete list of tour dates, go here.
The co-headlining summer tour is in support of Panic! at the Disco’s recently released album, Death of a Bachelor.
