It’s been a couple of years since we’ve heard anything from Ohio’s Relient K. Now, it looks like things are about to change for them and their fans. On Monday (Feb. 15), the group released a brand new song titled “Look On Up.” While there is no confirmation, it appears that this track may be the lead single off of their upcoming new record, Air For Free. Check out the new song below.
If you’re digging “Look On Up,” the song is currently available for purchase here. Back in November, the band had teased that they were currently in the midst of finishing their follow-up to 2013’s Collapsible Lung. During an interview that same month, frontman Matt Thiessen had confirmed that the new album was completed. Then, in December, the band unveiled that the new record would be titled Air for Free.
At the present time, there is no projected release date for the new album, but it might be sooner than later if what Thiessen had said in his interview was in fact true. The new song/album announcement comes almost two years after the band celebrate the tenth anniversary of their breakout record, Mmhmm.
