The 1975’s new album is just a couple of weeks away, but that’s not stopping the four-piece from releasing another track from the highly anticipated new album. On Monday (Feb. 15), the group premiered their latest song, “Somebody Else” on Zane Lowe’s Apple Music show. After praising frontman Matt Healy on the new track and advising listeners that it’s probably their best song yet, Lowe launched into the new, somber song. Listen to the track, as well as the interview with Healy here.
“Somebody Else” will join previously released tracks, “Love Me,” “UGH!,” and “The Sound” on The 1975’s sophomore album, I Like It When You Sleep, for You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware of It. The new record is scheduled to be released on Feb. 26 through Dirty Hit/Interscope Records.
In support of the new album, the band will hit the North American road this spring. The tour will kick off on April 18 at the Shrine Expo Hall in Los Angeles. After being on the road for a little over a month, it will wrap up on May 25 at the Roy Wilkins Auditorium in St. Paul, MN. Japanese House and Wolf Alice will act as supporting acts throughout the tour. The complete list of upcoming tour stops can be seen here.
