Last week, Weezer gave their fans some of the best news when they revealed that they would in fact be releasing a new album later this year. They added onto the good news when they premiered their third single off the album, “King of the World” and then confirmed a co-headlining tour with Panic! at the Disco in the summer. During a late night appearance on Tuesday evening (Jan. 19), the California group showed those watching the show on TV just what to expect during the upcoming summer tour.
Taking to Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the band performed lead single, “Thank God for Girls” and their second single, “Do You Wanna Get High?” off of their upcoming new album, The White Album. Check out both videos of the live performances below.
Weezer’s upcoming self-titled album is set to be released on April 1. For those who are confused about the title, the new record will officially be a self-titled. Since the band has previously released two other self-titled records, they have become known as the color of the physical album. Their first self-titled was 1994’s The Blue Album which gave us hits like “Buddy Holly,” “Undone – The Sweater Song,” and “Say It Ain’t So.” Then, in 2001′ they released The Green Album which gave us songs like “Hash Pipe” and “Island in the Sun.” And now, in 2016, we will be getting The White Album, not to be mistaken for the Beatles’ album of the same name.
Weezer’s last studio album was 2014’s Everything Will Be Alright in the End.
