It hasn’t even been a year since Imagine Dragons gave us their brand new album, Smoke + Mirrors, and now, it appears that the Las Vegas group may have some new material up their sleeves. Today (Aug. 27), the band released a brand new song titled “Roots.” The song, which is not featured on their sophomore effort, could be a new song from a new album, but at the same time, the band has been known to release new songs that were not featured on any album.
Back in 2013, they released “Who We Are” for the Hunger Games:Catching Fire soundtrack. In 2014, they released both “Battle Cry” for the Transformers: Age of Extinction soundtrack and another song titled “Warrior” which was specially created for the battle arena video game, League of Legends.
No matter where the song will be featured, it can currently be streamed below.
Imagine Dragons recently wrapped up their summer arena tour with Metric and Halsey in support of Smoke + Mirrors. “Roots” is currently available for purchase on iTunes.
