Underoath Confirm Tour for Spring 2016

After teasing that there was a possibility of a tenth year anniversary tour in support of Define the Great Line and several 2016 shows confirmed, Underoath has finally given their dedicated fan base just what they were waiting to hear; the band will be touring in early 2016.

A few short hours after the Florida-based band were confirmed to be playing at Dallas’ South By So What?! Festival, the band released an over a month-long tour itinerary for the new year. The tour which has been named the “Rebirth Tour,” will kick off at Jannus Live in St. Petersburg, FL on March 16 and wrap up on April 23 at the Tabernacle in Atlanta. The predominately United States-based tour will feature one stop in Toronto on April 19.

But if them going on tour wasn’t good enough, the formerly defunct band has also revealed that they will play 2004’s They’re Only Chasing Safety and 2006’s Define the Great Line in its entirety while also tossing in some “extra goodies.”

In a press release, guitarist Tim McTague said: “I think the thought of Underoath playing again seemed really exciting. We never thought we’d ever even want to play together again, much less be as excited to do so. It was a really cool feeling, and when discussing what this tour could be, it just felt right to play the two albums that our fans have held dearly for so many years. I think it’s going to be really special.”

Tickets for the tour will go on sale beginning this Friday, Aug. 28. For more information, head on over to the band’s website here.
