How do you follow-up the news that you will be releasing a new album in a couple of months? Why head out on a tour of course. But not just any kind of tour; an in-store acoustic tour.

On the same day, they will then make their way to Rhino Records in Claremont, CA. The short acoustic tour will then wrap up two weeks later on Sept. 10 at Newbury Comics in Boston.

The Wonder Year’s new album, No Closer to Heaven, is set to be released on Sept. 2, the same day as their show at Magnolia Thunderpussy in Columbus, OH.
A few weeks ago, the band announced that a portion of proceeds from the pre-orders of No Closer to Heaven will be donated to four different charities; Puppies Behind Bars, Futures Without violence, The Herren Project, and After-School All-Stars. As they explained in a video, the buyer will have the option to pick between the four charities during the check out process and that’s where a portion of their contribution will be sent. For more information about the charities or to pre-order the record, you can head to The Wonder Year’s website.
