Neon Trees Show Us Heartbreak in “Songs I Can’t Listen To”

A month after releasing a brand new song, Neon Trees are back with the music video for “Songs I Can’t Listen To.”

Very much like the lyrics of the song, the music video tells the tale of a couple’s relationship from the beginning to the end. It begins with the couple, all happy and sitting on a hill listening to music (you known, the songs that will become the songs you can’t listen to) enjoying the beginning of this brand new relationship.

Then, it takes a turn for the worst, with them realizing it’s time to pull the plug on the relationship because of their constant arguing and fighting.

Neon Trees have yet to announce if this song will be featured on a potential new record or if it will remain a non-album single. The Utah-based band released their third studio album, Pop Psychology last year.

They also announced plans last month to head out on tour this Summer for their “An Intimate Night With Neon Trees” Tour. The trek will begin this Saturday, June 6, at the Showbox in Seattle and wrap up on July 26 at the Paradise Rock Club in Boston.
